Dear Colleagues and Friends,

After 36 incredible years of service to the credit union movement—and with deep gratitude and reflection, I will be retiring from the Nebraska Credit Union League on June 30th.

This decision did not come easily. Serving our member credit unions has been the privilege of a lifetime. Throughout these decades, I’ve had the honor of working alongside some of the most dedicated, visionary, and principled individuals in our industry. Together, we’ve advanced the cooperative mission, overcome challenges, celebrated victories, and championed the financial well-being of Nebraska’s credit union members.

From the early days of my career to the present, I’ve witnessed firsthand the resilience and innovation that define the credit union community. I am immensely proud of what we have achieved: stronger advocacy, expanded member services, enhanced operations, stronger communities, and a steadfast commitment to the people we serve.

I want to express my deepest appreciation to each of you—credit union leaders, volunteers, partners, and team members—who have shared this journey with me. Your passion, integrity, and collaborative spirit have made my role not just a career, but a calling.

Though I am moving away from my formal responsibilities, I will always carry the values of our movement with me. I look forward to watching the League and its member credit unions continue to thrive

As I step away from this role, I do so with full confidence in the future of the League. It is in extremely capable hands under the leadership of Brandon Luetkenhaus. His deep experience, steady guidance, and genuine commitment to the credit union mission ensures that the League will continue to thrive and grow.

Thank you for 36 remarkable years. It has truly been an honor.

With gratitude and warmest regards,

J Scott Sullivan
President/CEO
