The United States Senate confirmed President Trump’s nomination of Kyle Hauptman to serve on the NCUA Board on December 2nd.  Hauptman was nominated to fill the seat held by NCUA Board Member Mark McWatters whose term expired August of 2019.  McWatters continued his service on the Board until late November when he resigned.  Member Hauptman’s term will run through August of 2025.  Hauptman has vast experience on Capitol Hill and most recently served as economic advisor to Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas and as Staff Director of the Senate Banking Committees subcommittee on Economic Policy.  Hauptman also previously worked on the Trump Transition Team, served at the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission, served on Mitt Romney’s 2012 campaign, and was a fixed-income trader.
