Fraud prevention remains a national priority for credit unions.
America’s Credit Unions and the American Association of Credit Union Leagues, in partnership with America Saves, launched “Check Yourself: Stop Check Fraud Before It Starts” in August. The national campaign provides information to help consumers better understand and protect themselves from check fraud, along with resources credit unions can use to educate their members.
Throughout August, the campaign is highlighting different check-related fraud threats and prevention strategies. For Nebraska credit unions, the effort provides another opportunity to reinforce member education and awareness as financial fraud tactics continue to evolve.
