The Securities and Exchange Commission announced the appointment of a new Chairman and Board members to the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). NCUA Chairman Kyle Hauptman has been nominated to serve as a Board member of the PCAOB, with a term extending through October 24, 2029.

In a statement, Chairman Hauptman said, “I am grateful to President Donald J. Trump and Chairman Paul S. Atkins for their faith in me and for the appointment to the PCAOB. I intend to remain in my role as NCUA Chairman until my successor is appointed by President Trump and confirmed by the U.S. Senate.”   

Chairman Hauptman was first nominated by President Trump to serve on the NCUA Board in June of 2020 and was confirmed by the U.S. Senate in December of 2020. He served as Vice Chairman of the board from 2020 until January 2025 when President Trump designated him as Chairman.
