Nebraska Credit Union League (NCUL) members and staff participated in Congressman Mike Flood\u2019s annual financial technology (fintech) conference called “Flyover Fintech”. The 2025 conference was held on September 23, 2025, at the Nebraska Innovation Campus in Lincoln, Nebraska.<\/p>\n

The “Flyover Fintech” conference serves as a leading forum for discussions on the future of financial technology, attracting public and private sector leaders, members of Congress, and industry experts. The event aims to foster critical conversations and networking opportunities, highlighting how the Midwest, or “Silicon Prairie,” contributes to the global digital economy.<\/p>\n

The 2025 conference featured appearances by members of Congress, such as House Financial Services Subcommittee Chairman Bryan Steil, alongside leaders from major fintech companies and State regulators, such as Kelly Lammers Director of the Nebraska Department of Banking and Finance.<\/p>\n

Over the past year, NCUL along with national partners like the America\u2019s Credit Unions have advocated for technology policies that allow credit unions to innovate and compete, while also protecting consumers and maintaining financial stability such as the Genius Act.<\/p>\n
