Tom Bolton, Board Chairman of Liberty First CU, received the 2024 CU4Kids Champion Award at this year\u2019s NCUL Annual Convention Awards Ceremony in Kearney.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This award is the highest individual honor that can be bestowed upon a credit \"\"union employee or volunteer in Nebraska in recognition of their involvement in Credit Unions for Kids.\u00a0 Credit Unions were founded on the principle of “People Helping People” and our involvement in Credit Unions for Kids demonstrates this commitment.\u00a0 Participation on an individual level is vital to fundraising success and this award was established to recognize that person who makes a difference, one event, one dollar, one minute at a time.\u00a0 This individual is a champion for CU4Kids and Children\u2019s Nebraska.\u00a0 They go above and beyond anything asked of them in their job.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cCentral to Tom’s ethos is his belief in ‘people helping people.’ His unwavering support for community organizations, coupled with his dedicated advocacy for Credit Unions for Kids, exemplifies his commitment to making a tangible difference in people’s lives. While personally contributing and participating in fundraising initiatives, Tom and his wife have been instrumental in supporting Children’s Nebraska, ensuring top-tier medical care for all in the region. Going beyond personal commitment, Tom encourages associates to attend carnivals held at the hospital, golf outings for CU for Kids, and other events that bring awareness and raise donations for this organization.\u201d<\/p>\n
