Governor Pete Ricketts signed a proclamation recognizing October 20, 2022, as International Credit Union Day in Nebraska. In his proclamation, Governor Ricketts recognized \u201ccredit unions empower people to improve their economic situations in 118 nations around the world\u201d and that credit unions are \u201cfounded by people working together towards economic advancement, uniting people seeking a way to improve their future\u201d.<\/p>\n

International Credit Union Day has been celebrated on the third Thursday in October since 1948 to recognize the spirit of the credit union movement throughout the world. The theme for this year\u2019s ICU Day is \u201cEmpower Your Financial Future with a Credit Union\u201d.<\/p>\n
