_builder_version=&#8221;4.9.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221;][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.9.4&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>As consumers have faced unprecedented economic challenges related to the coronavirus pandemic, financial <img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-4051  alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ncultheaffiliate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/financial.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"161\" height=\"161\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ncultheaffiliate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/financial.png 337w, https:\/\/www.ncultheaffiliate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/financial-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/www.ncultheaffiliate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/financial-150x150.png 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 161px) 100vw, 161px\" \/>literacy, capability and sound saving habits are now more important than ever.<\/p>\n<p>April is Financial Literacy Month, and credit union advocates are encouraged to join and support\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.advancingcommunity.com\/\"><em>Advancing Communities<\/em><\/a>\u00a0in its campaign to promote the benefits of credit unions.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how to participate:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>visit Advancing Communities\u2019\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/adv_communities\"><em>Twitter<\/em><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/AdvanceCommunities\"><em>Facebook<\/em><\/a>\u00a0accounts to follow, share, like and engage in promoting Financial Literacy Month on social media;<\/li>\n<li>request email templates to send a financial literacy or thank you email to legislators by emailing Andy Dennis, manager of state outreach at CUNA, at\u00a0<em><u><a href=\"mailto:ADennis@cuna.coop\">ADennis@cuna.coop<\/a><\/u><\/em>; and<\/li>\n<li>share your CU story \u2014 stories will be highlighted throughout the month, and anyone with a great CU story can visit the Advancing Communities\u2019 \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.advancingcommunity.com\/share-your-story\/\"><em>Share Your Story<\/em><\/a>\u201d webpage to share their credit union story.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00a0Additional financial literacy resources for credit unions and their members include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The NCUA\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncua.gov\/consumers\/financial-literacy-resources\"><em>Financial Literacy &amp;
