Amy was named Chair of the Small Credit Union Committee. The Committee is comprised chiefly of![\"\"](\"http:\/\/www.ncultheaffiliate.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/Amy-B.jpg\")
officials from smaller credit unions and tracks issues affecting small credit unions to assess the impact of public policy on smaller credit unions. The committee also promotes unity between credit unions of all sizes and strives to defend against all threats to their cooperative, not-for-profit, democratic structure.<\/p>\n
Although there is no precise measure of \u201cSmall,\u201d the committee uses $100 million in assets as a rough definition, recognizing that factors other than size may determine the characterization of a \u201csmall\u201d credit union.<\/p>\n
As Chair of the Small Credit Union Committee, Amy will also serve as an ex-officio member of CUNA\u2019s Advocacy Committee. The Advocacy Committee advises CUNA staff and provides policy recommendations to the CUNA Board of Directors regarding advocacy issues affecting the credit union movement.<\/p>\n
According to League President & CEO, Scott Sullivan, \u201cAmy has demonstrated an inspiring commitment to the advancement of our industry. I believe it is the guidance and leadership from people like Amy that ensures our system fulfills its potential.\u00a0 We have so many opportunities to make progress next year and beyond, and we\u2019d like to thank Amy for her active engagement and involvement.\u201d<\/p>\n
