Congratulations to Hasting FCU on their 2020 CU4Kids Outstanding Achievement Award!\u00a0 The credit union raised $4100, which is $.67 per member, to support Children’s Hospital and Medical Center and CU4Kids.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The artwork for 2020 was created by CMN Nebraska Champion, Easton DeJong.\u00a0 Easton is a people person \u2013 a 6-year-old who enjoys making people laugh and who loves everyone inside and outside of Children\u2019s Hospital & Medical Ce\"\"nter. Easton may look like a typical happy, healthy kindergartner, but lift his shirt and you\u2019ll see scars from the more than 30 surgeries he\u2019s endured as well as his two ostomy bags. Diagnosed before birth with multiple congenital anomalies, doctors didn\u2019t expect Easton to live. Today, thanks to a new kidney donated by his father, the expert care he receives at Children\u2019s and two loving parents who go the extra mile to keep him well, Easton brings smiles and joy to everyone he meets.<\/p>\n

Hastings FCU has continued to be an outstanding champion for Credit Unions for Kids throughout the years.\u00a0 They have sold chocolate bars, cookbooks, rubber duckies and plush animals in their branch.\u00a0 They\u2019ve held bake sales, put out coin canisters, put together homemade candy bouquets for Valentines Day.\u00a0 Their employees donate to have Jeans Days and they also sold books and then donated them to the local community.\u00a0 \u00a0They continue to promote fundraising for CU4kids in their branch with posters and flyers and also via their website.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Well done to Jamie, Kenzie, staff and members!\u00a0<\/p>\n
