{"id":2694,"date":"2019-09-17T09:07:57","date_gmt":"2019-09-17T14:07:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ncultheaffiliate.com\/?p=2694"},"modified":"2020-11-19T14:48:45","modified_gmt":"2020-11-19T19:48:45","slug":"league-sponsors-womens-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ncultheaffiliate.com\/?p=2694","title":{"rendered":"League Sponsors Women\u2019s Conference"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Nebraska Credit Union League is a \u201cPanel of Experts Sponsor\u201d of the Smart Women Smart Money Conference being held in LaVista on November 1<sup>st<\/sup>.\u00a0 <!--more-->The conference is new to Nebraska but was started in 1999 by Idaho State Treasurer Ron Crane.\u00a0 The focus of the conference is to empower women of all backgrounds, ages, and financial acumen to better their financial lives.\u00a0 The State Officers Foundation now operates the conference and is holding it in five states, including Nebraska, in 2019.\u00a0 Nebraska\u2019s State Treasurer John Murante is the host of the conference in Nebraska.<\/p>\n<p>The conference will be free to attendees and space will be limited.\u00a0 Top sponsors of the event include KETV (Channel 7) of Omaha, Wells Fargo, and First National Bank.\u00a0 Cobalt Credit Union joins the League as a Panel of Experts Sponsor and Centris FCU is a Gold Sponsor.\u00a0 \u201cThe League is pleased to be supporting such a great event that focuses on improving financial literacy in our community\u201d said Scott Sullivan, President\/CEO of the League.\u00a0 The League is providing a speaker for the breakout session titled \u201cDefeating debt: Freedom to live within your means\u201d.\u00a0 Cynthia Campbell, Vice President of BALANCE, will be the featured speaker for the League\u2019s breakout session.
