In March, the Governor declared financial institutions, including credit unions as ‘essential service providers’ to ensure consumers had uninterrupted access to financial services. This designation did not mean, however, that front line employees will receive priority in terms of receiving the vaccine. We have been in contact with both the Governor’s office and the Director of Banking & Finance to advocate for parity (with banks) not necessarily priority in terms of distributing the vaccine. We will let you know as soon as we receive word of any decision on vaccine priorities for credit union front line staff.

We have reached out to our HR partner, Jackson Lewis, and they have indicated there are several items a credit union may want to consider before implementing an employee vaccine mandate. Please join us for a free webinar on January 20th at 12pm with Chad Richter of Jackson Lewis to discuss how the vaccine may impact your credit union.   Webinar information was sent via email.  Please contact Amy Shaw for details.
