The EFT processing landscape has changed dramatically over the past 18 months, causing significant impacts on Nebraska credit unions.  Starting with the dissolution of Networks in 2017, the industry is experiencing consolidation like never before, leaving fewer processing solutions for credit unions.

TransFund is an EFT processor and ATM network based in Tulsa.  Founded in 1975, TransFund established a presence in Nebraska nearly 20 years ago and continues to grow their business.  “We are bringing a total solution to credit unions,” said Stephanie Palmgren, VP and senior sales consultant with TransFund.  “Our consultative approach helps credit unions maximize their non-interest income by making smart decisions about processing choices,” she explained.

TransFund offers many options for its debit programs, as well as total ATM support.  “We have all the tools that credit unions need to successfully manage fraud and offer excellent technology to members,” said Palmgren.  “And our customer service is really second to none. We still believe in a face-to-face relationship with our client.”

Many credit unions are participating in the TransFund school card program, where credit unions partner with local schools to create a card program that gives back to the school district with every swipe.  These are some of the highest usage and most profitable programs in the industry today.

In addition to debit processing, TransFund offers an attractive credit card program as well.  This allows credit unions to manage a single vendor for multiple core products.

In this era of EFT processor uncertainty, TransFund has stood the test of time and is committed to the future of the payments industry.
