As the Millennium Corporate Credit Union Annual Meeting winds down, we celebrate our successes of last year and look ahead to upcoming events. Events like the CU Business Group National Business Services Conference and the NCUL Annual Meeting. For starters.
In 2017, Millennium Corporate added staff in Marketing/Business Development, Information Technology, Member Support and AIM (Asset & Investment Management), our ALM Consulting Service. These new staff, coupled with our seasoned professionals, provide us the infrastructure necessary to deliver the service excellence we promise.
Last year, we embraced our cooperative spirit like never before. We became Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Associate Members and we worked with our league partners, along with the NCUL, in KS, MO, MT, to co-host fundraising golf tournaments, and bashes, and we continue to be an NCUL MVP. We sponsored GAC events for all our league partners and the NE folks enjoyed a welcome reception at The Smith in DC to fuel their hill hike.
At the GAC we heard our acting regulator speak to the ‘thoughtful loosening’ of regulations. And in November 2017, NCUA approved changes to the current corporate regulation, amending and adding capital definitions, that allow us to utilize our capital more efficiently as we achieved the “Well Capitalized” designation early last year.
We also converted our Security Safekeeping program. Keeping fees steady, we were able to enhance our online payment and accounting platform, coreCONNECT, with safekeeping functionality. Partnering with J.P. Morgan Chase, through a relationship with Catalyst Corporate, we are now connected with one of the largest custody providers in the U.S.
But enough about last year, the future is where we’re headed! We are focused this year, and the years to come, on strengthening our relationships with current members and identifying new members, who share our values and seek a partner.
Our business services CUSO, CU Business Group, is hosting their National Business Services Conference twice in 2018. In Portland, OR, in August, and in September in Savannah, GA. Member or not, you can attend. And should – 100% of attendees would recommend you do. That’s nearly everyone.
And lastly, but most certainly not least-ly, we’ll be exhibiting at the NCUL Annual Meeting in Kearney in June. If you’ve missed us at these other events, please stop by our booth and spend some time visiting. It’s what matters most – who we share this amazing journey with. Today. Tomorrow. Together.
