League Satisfaction Survey Key Findings

As part of the League’s mission to promote, protect and preserve our member credit unions, we created an online survey to gain a better understanding of the perceptions, challenges and needs of Nebraska credit unions.

The Survey was conducted from September 25 – October 6, 2017. It was sent to 276 credit union executives. We received 49 responses for a solid 18% response rate.

Key Findings:
–The vast majority of respondents are extremely satisfied with their League membership.
–The League received a Star rating of 4.5 out of 5.
–8 out of 10 credit unions report that the value their credit union receives from the League is greater than the cost of membership.
–The three most effective advocacy efforts are:
–State legislative advocacy 49/5
–Federal legislative advocacy 47/5
–Communicating Information 41/5
–The three greatest professional challenges facing credit unions are regulatory burden/compliance, profitability, and cybersecurity/keeping up with technology.
–There is significant interest in the League providing additional networking and training opportunities.
–The three most popular training topics are compliance, lending and fraud/security.
–Members (especially mid-to-small) appreciate the consultative functions provided by the League.

The League is using the survey results and ongoing feedback from our member credit unions to guide our strategic focus and initiatives for 2018 and beyond.

The League works hard every day to meet the needs and promote the goals of member credit unions. Please contact Amy Shaw, Chief Initiatives Officer at with any ideas about how the League can better serve your needs.
