Nebraska Professional Inducted Into CU House Hall of Leaders

Matz to Step Down on April 30

National Credit Union Administration Board Chairman Debbie Matz announced today her decision to step down at the end of April. Matz has led the agency, which supervises over 6,000 credit unions with $1.2 trillion in assets, since August 2009. {Read The Full Article}

League Joins Working Group on VTR Modernization

The Nebraska Credit Union League joined the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and several interested parties in a working group to look at ways to modernize the Vehicle Titling and Registration System (VTR). NE CU’s Make Most of ’16 GAC

CFPB issues rule on ‘rural’ application process

A new rule adopted by the CFPB establishes an application process for designating an area as “rural” under federal consumer financial law. Under this process, certain mortgage lenders currently outside rural counties or census blocks can apply for the rural designation, and may be eligible for specific exemptions and provisions.
