SunCorp Members Vote “Yes” To Merger with Alloya Corporate

Nebraska Credit Unions Converge on Capitol Hill


Nebraska credit union professionals joined nearly 5,000 of their colleagues from across the country in Washington DC for CUNA’s Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) February 8th – 12th. Twenty-five credit union staff and volunteers representing nine Nebraska credit unions made the trip to the 2015 GAC. The GAC is the largest and premier credit union legislative event of the year.

Centennial Lending – The Preferred Lending Partner

Centennial Lending was established in 2000 as a Credit Union Service Organization to assist credit unions in achieving their commercial and mortgage lending needs. The company began serving credit unions in Nebraska in 2004 and partnered with the Nebraska Credit Union League in 2006. Centennial Lending currently works with 31 Nebraska credit unions.

Card Services for Credit Unions (CSCU)

On March 9, 2015 CSCU announced in a letter to member credit unions, that they were going to cover the cost of the EMV/ Chip Enablement. CSCU communicated that they had negotiated an agreement with their processing partner FIS, whereby they would cover the entire cost of the EMV/Chip enablement. CUNA Mutual Group Continues CU System Advocacy Efforts in 2015

As a partner in the credit union system, CUNA Mutual Group continues to be a strong and vocal advocate for credit unions and their members. On March 18th, two Nebraska credit union members were awarded $5,000 from the Nebraska “Save to Win” program. The Save To Win (STW) program first began in January of 2012 as a means to help credit union members save money while making it fun by awarding cash prizes. Since the program’s inception, more than 1,400 STW accounts have been opened by participating credit union members and they have saved more than $3 million. Gallup FCU member Jacquelyn Michals Oppegard and Omaha Police FCU member James Patterson were the lucky savers. {Read The Full Article}
