Enterprise Car Sales Partners with Credit Unions to Benefit CU’s for Kids

Enterprise Car Sales is teaming up with the Nebraska Credit Union League to raise money for the Credit Unions for Kids, benefiting Children’s Miracle Network. March 1st through May 31st, 2013 Enterprise Car Sales will donate $50 for each directly referred member from a Nebraska League Affiliated Credit Union who books a loan through the Credit Union and purchases from Enterprise Car Sales in Nebraska. Two incumbents reclaim their position, Barnett to join Board

The Nebraska Credit Union League Board of Directors had three seats up for election in 2013.  Following the official call for candidates in January, one candidacy declaration was received for each open seat:

  • Kevin Parks, President/CEO of Centris Federal Credit Union (Asset Category A seat);
  • Robin Larsen, Vice President of SAC Federal Credit Union (Geographic District 1 seat) and;
  • Jerry Barnett, President/CEO of LincOne Federal Credit Union (Geographic District  2 seat)

Chip Filson Launches Petition for Cooperative NCUA Regulator Appointment Process; Declares Candidacy for Open Board Seat

Washington, DC — Chip Filson, Chairman of Callahan & Associates, announced today a major initiative:A New Vision for Cooperative Regulatory Leadership for the 21st Century. SunCorp Moves to New Office for Member Savings


SunCorp recently relocated operations to a new building in Westminster, Colorado. The new office is expected to reduce operating expenses, saving members approximately $350,000 annually.

NE Advocates Among 4,000 at CUNA GAC

Twenty-two Nebraska credit union advocates traveled to Washington D.C. to attend the Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA) Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC) held February 24-28. The attendees joined over 4,000 credit union staff and volunteers from across the country to hear from Congressional leaders, NCUA Board members, and national speakers. University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union President to Retire


Lincoln, Nebraska (March 15, 2013) – University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union (NUFCU) President Bob Torell officially announced he will retire on April 19th following the Credit Union’s 75th Annual Meeting on April 17th.

“It is a good time for me to retire and turn the reigns over to someone new to lead the Credit Union to what I believe will be a very successful future,” said Torell.

Torell joined the University Nebraska Federal Credit Union in 1982. The Credit Union had about 3,000 members, assets were around $4 million, and services were fairly limited. {Read The Full Article}
